Nissan 370Z successor to be revealed on September 15

Nissan has announced that it will unveil a prototype of the 370Z successor on September 15.

The new Z car is rumored to be called the 400Z. However, Nissan doesn’t seem to be too keen on revealing the name yet. For now, the automaker is referring to it as the Z Proto.

The latest teaser video also reveals something that will surely bring a smile on every enthusiasts face. Yes, the new Z car will come with a manual transmission. Besides that, you will also notice a mechanical handbrake, unlike the electronic one that can found in most modern cars.

The Nissan 400Z is likely to be powered by a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine producing around 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Click on the video below to listen to the throaty exhaust note.

Th video also reveals the new Z logo proudly featured on the door sills and the B-pillar. Nissan has also showcased the new 5-spoke alloy wheels that appear to be shod with low profile tires. Also note the large brake disc and caliper with the Z logo.
