Next-gen Lamborghini Urus confirmed; Set to debut post-2026

Lamborghini has confirmed that it is already working on the second-generation Urus. The new model is expected to go on sale globally post-2026.

According to Federico Foshini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Lamborghini, the second-gen Urus will continue to share technologies with other VW Group models, including its platform.

Foschini said, “We would be stupid not to keep using something that’s at the top of its technology. For us, it’s an advantage until the moment that we are not able to make a car that’s at the top of its game.”

Currently, the Urus shares its platform with the Porsche Cayenne and Audi RSQ8. The SUV is powered by a V8 plug-in hybrid, which again isn’t specific to the Urus.

The next-gen Urus, though, will receive the latest tech and is likely to be powered by an updated version of the current V8 hybrid powertrain. It will join the existing crop of hybrid supercars – the Revuelto and Temerario.
