NASCAR team owner and Corvette enthusiast Rick Hendrick has purchased the first production 2025 Corvette ZR1 for $3.7 million.
The supercar was recently sold at Barrett-Jackson’s auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. All the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Red Cross.

The first-ever 2025 Corvette ZR1 presented at the auction had a black exterior with blue stripes in the centre and blue wheels. Hendrick also owns the first production C8 Corvette, the first Z06, the first Z06 convertible, as well as the first Corvette E-Ray.
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 made its debut in July last year. It’s the most powerful Corvette ever made, and with a price tag of under $200,000, good value too.

The new ZR1 is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 featuring a flat-plane crankshaft. It generates 1064 hp and 828 lb-ft of torque and revs to 8000 rpm. Chevy claims, the ZR1 can cover a quarter-mile in under 10 seconds and has a top speed of over 215 mph.
