$1 Million Porsche 918 Spyder hypercar gets owned by a Dodge Demon

We’ve seen a lot of drag races featuring the McLaren 765LT of late. Today, Dragtimes have something different – a German engineering goes up against American muscle power.

At first, it seems like this race would be a walk in the park for the Porsche 918 Spyder. But, it soon becomes clear that the Dodge Demon has this one in the bag. The Demon seems to be better equipped for this sort of thing.

In the second race, the Porsche jumps the light and still loses out to the Demon. According to Brooks, the 918 Spyder with its hybrid all-wheel drive is tricky to launch off the line. On the other hand, the Demon is a big lump of V8 muscle built specifically for drag racing.

Sadly, we won’t get to see a re-match between the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Dodge Demon anytime soon. At least not on this channel, as the owner has swapped the 918 for a 765LT.
