Mercedes-AMG Mythos PureSpeed enters final development phase
Published on
Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz revealed the Mythos PureSpeed, a speedster based on the SL roadster. Now, the automaker has shared images of the prototype as it enters the final stages of development.
The Mercedes-AMG Mythos PureSpeed is a limited edition speedster with a design inspired by the AMG-One hypercar. It has the so-called “shark nose” front end, with typical speedster-style roll hoops at the rear and a Formula 1-like halo over the cockpit. The rear features sleek horizontal taillights and an aggressive diffuser with quad exhausts.
The Mythos PureSpeed is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from the SL roadsters. Production will be limited to just 250 units.
