McLaren P1 successor launch invite comes in a fancy box

McLaren’s next flagship hypercar is expected to debut later this year. The McLaren P1 successor, codenamed P18, could be unveiled by end-2024, and in fact, the automaker has already started sending out invitations for the launch event.

@shibaimu recently received a special box containing the launch invite. Opening the grey cardboard cover reveals a fancy box with a glossy top. Inside is an orange card with the text “One Journey”. Slide open the drawer, and you will find what appears to be a coffee table book documenting the history of the brand.

The P1 successor will be based on an all-new carbon fibre monocoque and will even use 3D-printed suspension components. It is likely to feature gullwing doors.

The P18 hypercar is said to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a V8 engine paired with electric motors. It’s expected to have a combined output of over 1000 hp.
