McLaren P1 successor global debut on October 6

Didn’t we tell you that the McLaren P1 successor would be revealed in the first week of next month? Well, McLaren has just confirmed that the next-gen hypercar will make its global debut on October 6, 2024.

McLaren just put out a teaser video, which talks about the ‘1’ car, and how it’s the pinnacle of supercar technology. It also marks the beginning of a new generation of supercars. In the 1990s, it was the McLaren F1, followed by the P1, which also went on to set new benchmarks.

According to our sources, the P1 successor, known internally as ‘P18’, will use cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing. While details about its design are still under wraps, we’ve been told that it will feature butterfly doors.

The P1 successor is expected to be powered by an all-new high-revving V8 engine, paired with a new hybrid system derived from Formula 1. The overall output of the hybrid powertrain could be around 1200 hp.
