McLaren Artura Spider teased ahead of its official debut

McLaren recently dropped a cryptic teaser, which left us scratching our heads. We thought perhaps they were planning to launch the Artura Spider. Looking at the latest teaser shared by the automaker on social media, it seems, we were right.

The short clip clearly shows a silhouette of the rear fascia, reminiscent of the Artura. It shows slim LED tail lights that are likely to be carried over from the coupe. In the previous teaser, we got a brief glimpse of what appeared to be the rear buttress area of the Artura Spider.

The Artura Spider is expected to use the same 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine as the coupe. It churns out 577 hp and 431 lb-ft of torque and is coupled with an electric motor that delivers an additional 97 hp for a combined output of 671 hp and 531 lb-ft. It is powered by a 7.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a maximum range of 19 miles in pure electric mode. The car comes with a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The McLaren Artura Spider will be officially unveiled on February 27, 2024.
