McLaren 765LT Spider could be revealed next week!

Last week, we learned that build slots for the McLaren 765LT Spider had already started popping up in the market. This is a clear indication that the official debut of the car would be just around the corner. Now, according to our sources, McLaren could reveal the 765LT Spider as early as next week.

The Spider is expected to be slightly more expensive than the coupe. In fact, the build slot we found had an asking price of €500,000! I know, half a million bucks is a lot. But, that car had quite a few options as well. The MSO parts catalogue is quite extensive, but it isn’t cheap either. Add to that a special color with carbon this and carbon that.

The 765LT Spider is expected to use the same engine as the coupe. It’s a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 that generates 755 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. All of which is delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

McLaren claims the coupe can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds. The Spider is likely to be tad slower.
