Lotus Emeya is Britain’s answer to the Porsche Taycan
There have been reports about Lotus working on an electric sedan to counter the likes of the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan. The British carmaker has now confirmed that its new electric “hyper-GT” will called Emeya.
The Lotus Emeya, internally known as (Type 133) is the brand’s third all-electric model after the Evija hypercar and Eletre SUV. It will make its public debut on September 7, 2023.
The teaser images shared by Lotus suggest that the car would feature a dual LED light signature at the front and a continuous light bar at the back. It is likely to borrow design cues from the Eletre and could also share the same electric architecture.
We can expect the Emeya to be powered by a 120 kWh battery pack offering a range of up to 370 miles and an output of 905 hp.
