Lotus could unveil Omega Concept Electric Hypercar next Month
In December last year, there were reports of Lotus planning to build a hypercar to rival the likes of the Pininfarina Battista and Rimac C_Two. Well, we can now tell you that the Omega concept is likely to be presented in April 2019.
Lotus has partnered with Williams Advanced Engineering for this project. Reports suggest that Lotus will be leading the project, while Williams will be developing the electric drivetrain. Sources tell us that the Omega will be “radical”, “light” and “agile” and will feature new generation technologies.
Lotus’ new hypercar is likely to be all-wheel drive featuring an electric motor on each axle. It could get features such as brake energy regeneration and fast charging. While, Lotus hasn’t formally announced details about the battery, it might have a maximum range of 250 miles.
And what about the price?
Well, we have heard that it could be priced upwards of £2 million.
