Listen to the Maserati MC20’s Twin-Turbo V6 burble into life

The Maserati MC20 made its debut a few days ago. On the same day, the new supercar was also revealed to the public in Modena, Italy.

The MC20 is Maserati’s most powerful supercar till date. It is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that puts out 621 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque. It powers the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. This video of the MC20 puttering along around Piazza Roma and Piazza Grande will give you an idea of what this new engine sounds like.

The MC20 is based around a carbon fiber monocoque that was developed in collaboration with Dallara. It weighs 3,306 lbs or 1,500 kg and is said to have a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 2.3 kg / hp. Maserati claims that it can hit 0-62 mph time of 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 201 mph.
