Lamborghini Temerario’s more hardcore variants could get 1000+ hp
The Lamborghini Temerario made its global debut in August this year. The new baby Lambo may not have a screaming V10 like its predecessor, but the V8 hybrid is no slouch.
The Temerario’s twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain develops 907 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque, which, to be honest, is a lot for what is essentially an entry-level Lamborghini supercar. However, the carmaker has already started hinting at a more potent version.
Lamborghini’s Chief Technology Officer Rouven Mohr told Top Gear that the 4.0-liter V8 plug-in hybrid could easily be tuned to produce over 1000 hp. This means future hardcore variants of the Temerario will have almost 400 hp more than the most powerful Huracan.
The combustion engine currently has a specific output of 197 hp per litre. Mohr said that with a few tweaks, this can go up to 217 hp per litre, giving the Temerario 987 hp from the ICE alone. Together with the plug-in hybrid system, the overall output will go well past 1000 hp.

How does a 4 litre engine have an output of 987 hp if its specific output is 217 hp per litre?
If specific output is 217 hp per litre, then a 4 litre engine will produce 868hp.
