Lamborghini Revuelto loses to a 5-year-old Ferrari SF90 in a drag race!

The Lamborghini Revuelto is the latest and greatest supercar to come out of Sant’Agata. It’s the brand’s first series production hybrid supercar and it certainly begs the question, how does it compare with the Ferrari SF90 Stradale?

Matt Watson was able to persuade the owner of one of the first Revueltos delivered to the UK for a drag race. Luckily, he also owns an SF90 Stradale and was keen to find out if his latest acquisition had the legs to beat a 5-year-old Ferrari. To make it more interesting, they also invited a Porsche 918 Spyder owner for an all-hybrid drag race.

Ferrari SF90 vs Lambo Revuelto

The Revuelto is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 paired with three electric motors, producing over 1000 hp. It can do 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph. The SF90’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid produces about the same horsepower. However, the Ferrari is significantly lighter than the Lambo.

Both the Revuelto and SF90 have all-wheel drive and get off the line quickly. But, by the time they reach the quarter mile, the Ferrari is 0.3 seconds quicker than the Revuelto. The SF90 completes the sprint in 9.6 seconds, while the Lambo takes 9.9 seconds to cover the 1/4 mile.

Lamborghinis had often struggled to keep up with Ferraris. But, we never expected a 5-year-old SF90 to destroy the most-hyped supercar of 2024 in such a fashion. There are several factors that could’ve affected the outcome of this drag race, including the fact that the Revuelto used in the race was a brand-new car that was presumably not even properly run-in.
