Lamborghini Le Mans Hypercar leaked ahead of official debut!
Lamborghini has announced that it will race in the Hypercar Class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Its premier class contender is supposed to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month. However, thanks to our sources, we can share images of the Lamborghini Le Mans hypercar a few days in advance.
Lamborghini’s race car looks quite similar to some of the other prototypes in its class. It has a more angular design with Y-shaped headlamps with integrated Y-shaped LED daytime running lights up front. It has a teardrop-shaped cockpit with a shark fin that extends to the rear wing. The ‘Y’ theme continues at the back in the form of Y-shaped LED tail lights.
Lamborghini will compete in the Hypercar class, where manufacturers are free to build the engine of their choice. It will compete against the Le Mans-winning Ferrari 499P, Porsche 963, Toyota GR010 HYBRID, Cadillac GTP, and the rather unconventional Peugeot 9X8.
