Lamborghini LB48H’s Hybrid Powertrain to make 838 HP?
In June 2018, we reported about the Lamborghini LB48H being revealed at a private event in Italy. The car was later showcased in New York. Now, we have an update on the supercar’s hybrid powertrain.
According to McLarenlife forum member Champagne612, the LB48H will have a 789 hp naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is likely to be a tuned 6.5-liter unit. It will be paired with a 49 hp hybrid drive. Thus, it appears that Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar will pack 838 hp.
As reported earlier, the exterior styling of the car is expected to be based on the Terzo Millennio concept. Also, production will be limited to 63 units. There has been no word yet regarding the pricing, however reports suggest that the LB48H could be priced at $2.5 million.
The Lamborghini Aventador is also due for a replacement in a few years time. Codenamed LB634, the Aventador successor is rumoured to get a hybrid powertrain as well.
