Lamborghini Huracan’s replacement : More Details

That said, the CEO did not reveal further details. Earlier reports had indicated that the Huracan successor would sport a twin-turbo V8 engine. It is said this engine would rev upto 7,000 rpm before the turbos would kick in. The turbos would be active all the way upto the 10,000 rpm redline. It is assumed that the engine will act as a naturally aspirated unit until the 7,000 rpm mark. However the engine will get hybrid assistance as well.

Details on the Aventador replacement’s engine

Recently, the Italian supercar maker revealed some details about the new Aventador replacement’s engine. This unit is a 6.5-litre NA V12 with plug-in hybrid technology. It will make 813 HP @ 9,250 and 535 lb-ft of torque @ 6,750 rpm. The engine will revv to 9,500 rpm.

This engine will send power only to the rear wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Individual electric motors will power the front wheels. All in all, the engine along with the electric motors will generate around 1,000 HP.
