Lamborghini Huracan: test drive, POV, sound, launch control
The first Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 has just landed in the UK and Shmee150 has was lucky enough to get an exclusive test drive of all-new supercar. Like all Shmee150 videos, this too is a really descriptive one. An executive first gives a brief of all the drive modes, shuffling through ‘Strada’, ‘Sport’, ‘Corsa’ which allow the driver to configure the car to specific driving conditions.
In normal street mode, the Huracan seems quite comfortable and the sound of the V10 is muted, reports Shmee150. The gear changes are less urgent and smooth. ‘Sport’ mode allows slightly quicker gearshifts and the V10 noise can heard clearly with cracks and pops on the overrun. In race mode, the Lamborghini Huracan is configured for more aggressive driving. The car holds a gear longer and the suspension is stiffened up. There’s considerable road noise as well, according to Shmee150.
The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 is replacement for the Gallardo and is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine delivering 601 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The supercar makes use of a brand new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. It can do speeds up to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds from standstill and has a top speed upwards of 200 mph.
