Lamborghini Huracan STO gunning for Nurburgring Lap Record?

The Lamborghini Huracan STO has been spotted at the Nurburgring. However, this time, the car may not be here for a test run. Instead, Lamborghini has brought along a team of engineers as it prepares to set a new lap record.

The rear-wheel drive STO could be perfectly suited for the twisty, undulating surface of the Nordschleife. It is inspired by the Super Trofeo EVO and the Huracan GT3 EVO race cars after all. The Huracan STO is powered by a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V10 engine that delivers 640 hp and 417 lb-ft @ 5,600 rpm. Lamborghini claims the car will do 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds and 0-124 mph in 9 seconds flat.
