Lamborghini has filed a new trademark for the ‘Huracan STJ’ nametag. This has led to speculations that the automaker might be planning to introduce one final iteration of the V10 Huracan before it bows out for good.
According to the European Intellectual Property Office, the trademark was filed on February 27, 2024. The document also includes a logo with the letter ‘J’ similar to the one used in the ‘SVJ’ moniker.
If the latest media reports are to be believed, the Huracan STJ could be a limited-edition track car based on the Huracan STO. If that’s true, then it would be a perfect send-off for the naturally aspirated V10 engine. In the STO, this 5.2-liter unit delivers 640 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque.
The last road legal Huracan was launched in November last year in the form of the Huracan STO SC 10° Anniversario. Meanwhile, Lamborghini is gearing up to showcase the successor to the V10 Huracan in March. The new model is likely to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain.
