Lamborghini Huracan Spyder LP580-2 Revealed via Spyshots
Lamborghini will soon launch a rear-wheel drive Huracan Spyder LP580-2. A fact that can be confirmed through the recently acquired spyshots. The LP580-2 Spyder will be the new entry-level convertible from Lamborghini.
The upcoming model will use the same engine and drivetrain as the LP580-2 rear-wheel drive Huracan coupe. The engine is a 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated that’s de-tuned to 572 hp and 398 lb-ft from 602 hp and 413 lb-ft that powers the Huracan LP610-4. The absence of the all-wheel drive system contributes to the 73 lbs drop in curb weight. The result is a Huracan that’s quick on its feet and eager to change direction.
A powerful V10 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission will allow the Huracan Spyder LP580-2 to post some pretty brisk times at the drag strip. That said, it would probably be a tad slower than the coupe which posts a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 sec and has a top speed of 199 mph.
