Koenigsegg Teases new Hypercar ahead of its Reveal
Koenigsegg has released a teaser video on Instagram that partially reveals its upcoming hypercar. It will be unveiled to the public on March 3, 2020. The event will be streamed live on the brand’s official website.
Koenigsegg had planned to unveil three cars at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunately, the show had to be cancelled due to concerns over the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to our sources, Koenigsegg will be unveiling the Mission 500 Concept. It is seen as a challenger to the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and is expected to have a top speed of 500 kph. Hence, the name. Besides this, the brand is also expected to present a new 2+2 hybrid hypercar codenamed KG12.
Now, the third car is likely to be a track-only “race car”. We have heard numerous rumors about this mysterious hypercar. If these are true, then we might see a new track-focused Koenigsegg similar to Aston Martin Vulcan or the Ferrari FXX-K.
