Listen to the Jesko’s 1600 hp V8 engine rumble into life.
In a recent Instagram post, you can see Jesko von Koenigsegg watching as a prototype is being prepared. As you may know, Koenigsegg’s new hypercar is named after Christian’s father. Swipe right to watch the video of the engine being fired up.
The Koenigsegg Jesko was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. It’s is the replacement for the Agera. It uses a re-designed 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is capable of pushing out 1280 hp or 1600 hp on E85. Peak torque figure is 1106 lb-ft! The engine is hooked up to a 9-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. According to its makers, the Jesko has the potential to reach speeds in excess of 300 mph.
We have also learned that Koenigsegg will be building a more exclusive “300 Edition” that is expected to crack 314 mph!
While the Swedes prepare their challenger, Bugatti has already set the bar for others to beat. Earlier this year, the Chiron SS 300+ registered a speed of 304.77 mph. So, who will be next to beat that. Would it be the Koenigsegg Jesko, Hennessey Venom F5 or the SSC Tuatara?
