Koenigsegg CC850 arrives at Ammo NYC for much needed TLC
One of the stars of this year’s Monterey car week was the Koenigsegg CC850. It’s a tribute to the first production hypercar produced by the Swedish brand. It also has a unique transmission that can be used as a simple automatic or a more engaging stick-shift manual.
Following its unveiling at Pebble Beach, the CC850 has been travelling all over the US. Prior to an event in New York, the car dropped by the Ammo NYC studio for a quick TLC.
Transport manager Christer Hultberg was kind enough to offer Larry a ride in the CC850. They went for a quick spin on public roads before Larry and his team could get on to detailing the car.
The CC850’s design is heavily inspired by the CC8S and it looks absolutely stunning. It’s a modern interpretation of the original hypercar that put the brand on the world stage.
The CC850 is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It develops 1185 hp on pump gas and 1385 hp on E85, while peak torque is rated at 1020 lb-ft at 4800 rpm. Interestingly, it comes with a “manualize Lightspeed transmission” that comes with a 3-pedal setup and a proper H-pattern shifter.
