Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Speedster coming to Goodwood F.O.S.
Remember the awesomely gorgeous Jaguar Project 7 concept? This year, Jaguar is set to unveil a production version of the speedster based on the F-Type and here are the first leaked images of the car. Although we don’t know actual name of the car, there’s good chance it would be called ‘Project 7’ and it would be presented to the world at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Jaguar F-Type is without doubt the best looking roadster on the market today. This new model that is derived from the Project 7 Concept looks even better. The shape of the car harks back to the times when Jaguar raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours. The star of the show back then was the D-Type and the Project 7 was created as a tribute to Jaguar’s seven wins at the grueling endurance race.
The production Project 7 shares quite a few details with the original concept that was showcased last year at the same event. The car gets a new front splitter and rear diffuser, along with a rear spoiler for added downforce. The rear deck lid has the famous speedster humps and the front windshield has been lowered for a more sleeker look. Underneath the skin, we expect Jaguar to keep the same 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine and running gear from the F-Type R. Also, expect this to be a limited production special sporting a substantially hefty price tag.
