Jaguar F-Type Project 7 sold out in the UK
Autocar has learned that, 65 of the 250 F-Type Project 7s have already been sold. The highly exclusive model of the F-Type was revealed to the public at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed following a concept that debuted a year before. The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is built by the Special Vehicles Operations unit and costs GBP 135,000 ($232,000 approx). The company plans to build just 250 units of the car with just 65 allotted for sale in the UK. Which means, Jaguar won’t be taking any more orders from customers in the UK.
Now, the F-Type Project 7 is based around the standard F-Type R with a lot of re-engineering gone into chassis and suspension components. Jaguar is still evaluating options for a removable roof which would most likely be of fabric type. The supercharged V8 engine delivers 575 horsepower allowing the open-top sports car to hit speeds reaching 186 mph. The sprint from 0-60 mph is over in just 3.8 seconds. According to reports, the F-Type Project 7 will be limited to 120 mph with the fabric roof on. More insider news from Jaguar reveal plans of a Project 8, 9 and 10 models as well.
