McLaren 720S Long Tail-750LT-Prototype-Nurburgring

McLaren

Is this a McLaren 720S Long Tail (750LT) prototype?

This McLaren 720S prototype with fancy aero bits was spotted at the Nurburgring. Could this be the 720S Long Tail (750LT)?

McLaren is reportedly working on a hotter version of the 720S. The Long Tail version, which is rumored to be called the 750LT, is said to ready by the end of this year.

This test mule certainly looks more aggressive than the regular 720S. It has a larger front splitter and a pair of canards under the headlamp pods. While, the car does not have rear side windows, the rear end looks similar to the 720S. The twin exhausts are positioned above the rear bumper. The rear diffuser also looks unchanged. Note that the test car is equipped with a roll cage and the rear spoiler is in its high downforce setting.

The McLaren 720S Long Tail (750LT) is expected to be powered by the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine as the standard car. However, it is likely to be tuned to produce upwards of 710 hp. The car could also feature a revised suspension setup.
