Ian Callum reveals one-off Jaguar C-X75 and its road-legal

In 2010, ex-Jaguar designer Ian Callum created the Jaguar C-X75. Sadly, it never made it to production. Now, Callum has built a one-off, road-legal version of the forgotten mid-engined supercar.

The original Jaguar C-X75 was supposed to be powered by a 1.6-liter, twin-turbo 4-cylinder engine paired with a hybrid system. However, much like the car that features in the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, Callum’s version uses a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 instead. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

Besides having to make several changes to make it road-legal, Callum had to develop bespoke control electronics and an active aerodynamics package that is said to improve stability above 37 mph. The car also has an air brake. Work was also done to improve throttle response and gearshifts.

Callum has completely redone the interior of the Jaguar C-X75. It has a unique 3-spoke steering wheel with two analogue dials and three rotary controllers with separate touchscreens on the centre console.
