Hot lap of Monza in a Ferrari FXX-K EVO: A driver’s eye view

The Ferrari FXX-K EVO is almost 8 years old now, but as you can see in this video, it’s still one of the greatest track cars ever made.

Ferrari Challenge driver Sean Hudspeth takes the FXX-K EVO on a hot lap of Monza. He has a camera mounted on his helmet, which gives us a good perspective of what it’s like to drive one of these V12 race cars on track.

The improved version of the LaFerrari-based track car was unveiled in 2017. The update included a revised aero package that is said to generate 23% more downforce than the standard FXX-K. It is achieved through a redesigned front package, a new rear wing with a shark fin, and underbody diffusers.

At the heart of the FXX-K EVO is a V12 hybrid powertrain. It delivers 1036 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The EVO version is said to be slightly lighter than the standard car and can reach a top speed of around 217 mph.
