Hop on-board a McLaren Senna GTR at the Bahrain GP Circuit
McLaren has released an 360-degree on-board video of the Senna GTR lapping the Bahrain International Circuit. The car featured in the video is a prototype, suggesting that McLaren could be testing some parts out.
The car laps around the track and encounters a 570 GT4 on the start/finish straight. Watch how the Senna GTR breezes past the racecar. It clocks 170 mph before the end of the straight. Although, we’re not sure whether the driver of the 570 GT4 had his foot planted or if he was slowing down.
Here’s a driver’s POV footage.
The Senna GTR is the track-only version of the Senna. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 which now produces 814 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The GTR comes with a more aggressive aero package designed for optimum downforce and cornering performance. The car is 10 kg lighter than the regular Senna.
