Here’s why David Lee is selling his LaFerrari

David Lee is one of those supercar collectors who own the five halo cars Ferrari has built in the past 37 years or so. That includes the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo and the LaFerrari. Now though, he has decided to sell the LaFerrari and here’s why.

When the LaFerrari first came out in 2013, it was only offered to Ferrari’s special clients. Unfortunately, David missed the chance to own one. However, he was later offered a car by an individual who had one on order.

Now, the same person who sold his car to David wishes to buy it back from him. Given the sentimental value of the car to the original owner, David has decided to sell it. Having said that, it seems David is looking to purchase another LaFerrari to complete his collection.

Ferrari’s first hybrid hypercar was built between 2013 and 2016. Only 499 examples were built. In 2016, Ferrari launched the Aperta, of which just 200 examples were produced.
