Hennessey’s next supercar to be inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT

Texas-based Hennessey Performance, the maker of the 300 mph Venom F5, is working on a new supercar. It is expected to debut around 2027 or 2028.

In an interview with Top Gear, John Hennessey revealed that the brand’s next supercar could be inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT. It means we could see a lightweight, analogue supercar with a highly responsive engine.

While Hennessey didn’t reveal much in terms of its technical details, it’s clear that the brand isn’t going the electric route anytime soon. That being said, the company does have a rather interesting electric hyper-GT in the pipeline.

Hennessey’s Project Deepspace is a 6-wheeled electric hyper-GT. The initial concept was revealed back in 2021. However, the company clearly feels the market isn’t ready for a high-performance EV yet, and has, therefore, decided to put it on the back burner for now.
