Hennessey Exorcist Camaro ZL1 ‘Final Edition’ is gunning for the Demon 170
Hennessey Performance has introduced the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 ‘Final Edition’ to mark the end-of-production of the 1000 hp upgrade package.
The Exorcist package was introduced in 2017 for the 6th-generation Camaro. It was Hennessey’s answer to the Dodge Demon. Now, the Camaro ZL1 ‘Final Edition’ is gunning straight for the Demon 170.
The stock ZL1 is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 that puts out 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Hennessey’s Exorcist package adds a larger high-flow supercharger, high-flow air induction system and upgraded auxiliary fuel system with new fuel injectors and fuel pump.
The ported cylinder heads are fitted with custom HPE camshafts and upgraded intake valves, exhaust valves, valve springs, retainers, lifters, and pushrods. A larger heat exchanger improves cooling, while long-tube stainless steel headers and high-flow catalytic converters help the engine breathe better.
The result is 1000 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque! That’s a 54% increase in power, while torque is up by 49%. Hennessey claims that with all that power under the hood, the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 can achieve 0-60 mph in 2.1 seconds, while the quarter-mile comes up in 9.57 seconds. Top speed is 217 mph.
Hennessey is building just 57 examples of the Exorcist Camaro ZL1 ‘Final Edition’. Each car comes with a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty.
