Hennessey builds the world’s fastest Corvette C8; Clocks 205 MPH!

Texas-based tuner Hennessey Performance has built the world’s fastest Chevrolet Corvette C8.

This Hennessey tuned 2020 C8 Corvette Stingray makes 650 hp and will do over 200 mph. In fact, the team tested the car at Continental Tires Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas where it clocked a top speed of 205.1 mph.

According to Hennessey, this particular car has a stainless steel exhaust upgrade and a nitrous kit. Now just imagine how quick the twin-turbo C8 Corvette will be. That car is already being built. When it was put on a dyno, it produced 643 hp @ 6200 rpm and 573 lb-ft @ 4600 rpm. With the boost turned up, we can expect it make upwards of 1000 hp.

The twin-turbo C8 Corvette is likely to break the current speed record without nitrous. However, it will be interesting to see what the car can achieve with nitrous. It will certainly be a monster.
