Gulf-liveried McLaren P1 up for grabs at RM Sotheby’s auction
A McLaren P1 finished in the famous F1-inspired Gulf livery is up for sale at the RM Sotheby’s auction in Toronto.
This US-spec McLaren P1, which is part of the Dare to Dream Collection is chassis no. 108. With over $100,000 worth of options from McLaren Special Operations (MSO), it had a sticker price of $1,284,423.
Besides the iconic blue and orange livery, the P1 rides on ultra-lightweight forged wheels with orange brake calipers. Inside, it has Carbon Black leather seats with orange stitching and a matching Alcantara steering wheel. The car has just 1913 miles on the clock. It comes with a complete service history with all the documents, a battery charger and a hardcover owner’s manual.
The McLaren P1 is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 hybrid that churns out 903 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The motor is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that drives the rear wheels. According to the performance figures released by McLaren, the P1 can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 217 mph.
The auction will be held between May 31 and June 1, 2024 in Toronto. The collection also includes a 2018 McLaren 720S in a similar Gulf Oil livery.
