Gift a LEGO Ford GT and GT40 Le Mans Racer this Christmas
Looking for something to gift your kid this Christmas? This LEGO Ford GT and GT40 Le Mans Racer might be something you might want to consider.
LEGO has created these exact recreations of the 2016 Le Mans winning Ford GT racer and the GT40 which won the race 50 years ago in 1966. The cars were designed in collaboration with Ford’s design teams and are officially licensed products.
Global Director of Ford Performance Dave Pericak said, “Many people in my team grew up with the legend of Ford’s history-making 1966 victory and experienced the excitement of building and design for the first time through Lego bricks.
“This kit is a powerful way to tell our Le Mans story and will hopefully inspire the race drivers, engineers and designers of the future.”
It a dream project of Craig Callum LEGO’s design team leader. That said, it was quite a challenge recreate the iconic cars which meant there was a lot of pressure on the team.
The two model set part of LEGO Speed Champions range will be available from March 1, 2017 and will be priced at around $38. So, basically, you kid will have to wait until the new year for his gift.
