Ford Mustang GTD is officially the fastest, most powerful Mustang ever

The 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is the most hardcore Mustang you can buy today. The company has just published some stats about the Mustang GTD, which makes it the fastest and most powerful production Mustang ever made.

The Mustang GTD is powered by a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which has just set a new performance benchmark. The engine packs more horsepower per liter than the 911 GT3 RS, delivering 815 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.

The Mustang GTD is the first Mustang to use a dry-sump oil system. This allowed Ford engineers to raise the maximum engine speed to 7650 rpm, or 100 rpm higher than the previous 5.2-liter V8. The car also gets a revised intake and exhaust, a titanium exhaust and a smaller supercharger pulley.

According to Ford, the Mustang GTD can reach a top speed of 202 mph. This can be achieved thanks to a Drag Reduction System that changes the angle of the rear wing and activates flaps under the front of the car to reduce drag and high speed.
