First media review of the Pagani Utopia is out; It’s better than you’d imagined

The first media review of the Pagani Utopia has just been published. The team at ‘Car magazine’ was offered the keys to the Utopia for a day, an offer they obviously couldn’t refuse.

The Pagani Utopia debuted as a replacement for the Huayra almost two years ago, and it needs no introduction. The company has stuck with its retro-modern design, offering an old-school driving experience in an age of massive touchscreens and soulless EVs.

At the heart of the Pagani Utopia is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG. It produces 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. The engine can be mated to a 7-speed automated manual transmission. Besides this, Pagani is also offering a proper manual this time around, which is quite rare among hypercars of this category.
