First-ever pure electric BMW M3 officially teased
Earlier this week, BMW teased its next generation of high-performance EVs. The carmaker has now shared images of the first-ever electric M3 prototype on social media.
The electric BMW M3 test mule is based on the Neue Klasse concept, featuring BMW’s “phygital” design. The sedan has a slim front fascia, incorporating the latest iteration of the kidney grille. It has flared wheel arches and retractable door handles.
BMW has already confirmed that the next-generation M3 will be offered with conventional ICE and electric powertrains. The latter, dubbed iM3, could be powered by four electric motors with a combined output of over 1300 hp.
Earlier, Frank van Meel, head of the M division, revealed that the first electric M car would be based on the Neue Klasse concept sedan due in 2026. Speaking about the new high-performance EV from BMW, van Meel said, it “will beat everything.”
