First customer Mercedes-AMG One hypercar delivered
It’s been almost three months since production of the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar commenced. Now, the first customer car rolled out of the factory.
The first AMG One is said to have been delivered recently. The hypercar is finished in a deep blue shade with a white stripe running over it. The exposed carbon parts on this car have a standard matte finish. The cabin is lined in black Alcantara upholstery with yellow stitching. The seats have the AMG logo embroidered on the headrests and come with yellow seat belts.
The Mercedes-AMG One is powered by the same engine that propels Lewis Hamilton’s F1 race car. It’s a 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 that revs to 11,000 rpm. The IC engine is paired with two electric motors for a combined output of 1063 hp. Mercedes claims the AMG One will do 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and 0-124 mph in 7 seconds. The top speed is rated 219 mph.
The AMG One is assembled by hand at the Coventry factory in the UK. Only 275 units are being produced.
