Ferrari’s F1 ace Charles Leclerc orders a Lamborghini Huracan STO
Looks like Charles Leclerc has been smitten by the Huracan STO, so much so that, rumors suggest that he might have placed an order for one.
The Huracan STO is one hell of a supercar and we won’t be surprised if the Formula 1 ace orders one. Here’s a video of an STO doing 200 mph on a public road. If the rumors are true and Charles has indeed ordered an STO, we might get to see it around Monaco in the near future.
The Huracan STO is essentially a race car for the road, where ‘STO’ stands for ‘Super Trofeo Omologata’. While it may not be as extreme as the F1 car Charles drives on weekends, it is still kind of a toned-down GT3 racer. Unsurprisingly, the STO is lighter than the regular Huracan. Thanks to the use of carbon fibre, overall weight has been reduced by 43 kg compared to the Huracan Performante.
It packs a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V10 engine that delivers 640 hp and 417 lb-ft @ 5,600 rpm. All 640 horses drive the rear wheels. Lamborghini claims the car will do 0-62 mph in 3.0 seconds and 0-124 mph in 9 seconds flat.
Prices for the Huracan STO start at just over $327,000, which won’t be much of a concern for the Monegasque. We can’t wait to see Charles’ STO spec.
