Ferrari F250 teased; LaFerrari successor to debut on October 17
Ferrari has dropped the first teaser of the LaFerrari successor. The new hypercar from Maranello, dubbed ‘F250’, will be officially unveiled on October 17.
The teaser shows the LaFerrari successor under a red cover. But, with so many images of test mules already available on social media, we do have a decent idea of what the production version might look like.
The design of the Ferrari F250 appears to be inspired by the Le Mans-winning 499P race car. It has a flat nose and a double S-duct with active flaps. At the rear, it has a large active wing that can be raised or lowered depending on the downforce requirement. The rear fascia comprises slim LED taillights with an aero channel in the centre, a large diffuser, and a centrally mounted exhaust.
The interior is also likely to be based on the latest design trends at Maranello. We can expect to see a digital screen for the gauges, a sporty steering wheel with haptic switches, an additional screen on the passenger side, carbon fibre seats, carbon wheels, and more.
Instead of V12, the LaFerrari successor will be powered by a race-derived 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. It will be paired with three electric motors; two of these will drive the front axle, making it all-wheel drive, while a third one is expected to be paired with the dual-clutch transmission. Rumors suggest it packs around 1200 hp!
