Ferrari F12 TDF busted doing 134 mph in France; gets impounded
Last week, a Ferrari F12 TDF was impounded by the French police after the driver was caught speeding.
The 60-year old resident of Loire Atlantique was headed towards Paris on the A11. The car was caught travelling at 215 km/h (134 mph) in a 130 km/h (81 mph) zone. That’s 53 mph over the speed limit!
The Gendarmerie promptly relieved the driver of his license and the car was impounded. The supercar will remain in the impound lot until the court appearance scheduled for November 22, 2021.
The F12 TDF is the predecessor to the recently unveiled 812 Competizione. The car is powered by a 6.3-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that pumps out 769 hp and 520 lb-ft of torque. Only 799 F12 TDFs were built. It is safe to assume that one of them is now with the Gendarmerie.
