Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari Celebrates the Brand’s Success in WEC
On the eve of the 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours race, Ferrari has unveiled a new tailor made 488 Pista. It is called the Ferrari 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari and it celebrates the brand’s success in the 2017 World Endurance Championship.
The 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari gets a unique paint job featuring the Italian tricolore. It has decals inspired by the GTE PRO class race car – there’s a “PRO” decal on the passenger side and the number “51” on the driver side door panel. Apparently, customers can choose the number of their choice. The interiors are finished in a similar theme with the Italian colours on the seats and shift paddles. The cabin is wrapped in black Alcantara with contrasting red stitching.
Under the skin, the 488 Pista Piloti Ferrari is identical to the standard car. It is powered by a 3.9-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 710 hp @ 8000 rpm and peak torque of 568 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Ferrari 488 Pista made its debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Read more about the 458 Speciale replacement here.
