Ferrari 12Cilindri Coupe & Spider unveiled in Miami

Ferrari has revealed its latest 2-seater Berlinetta powered by a mid-front-mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine. As reported earlier, Maranello’s new V12 super GT is called the Ferrari 12Cilindri and will be available in coupe and spider body styles.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri and 12Cilindri Spider celebrate the brand’s 70th anniversary in the American market. It was unveiled ahead of the Formula 1 Miami GP.

According to Ferrari, the 12Cilindri is inspired by the grand tourers of the 1950s and 60s, and that’s clearly evident in its design. The car has a long and flat nose section, akin to the iconic 365 GTB/4, also known as the Ferrari Daytona.

It’s essentially a modern interpretation of this very car. It has a front-hinged bonnet, flared wheel arches with clean lines along the sides and headlights integrated into a single wraparound band.

Instead of a rear spoiler, Ferrari has adopted two active flaps integrated with the rear screen, while the tail section features dual LED taillights, a prominent diffuser and twin exhausts.

As expected, the interior of the Ferrari 12Cilindri takes inspiration from the new Purosangue. It has a dual-cockpit design with a large touchscreen in the centre and an additional screen on the passenger side.

At the heart of the Ferrari 12Cilindri is the F140HD 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that revs to 9500 rpm and produces 819 hp @ 9250 rpm and 500 lb-ft @ 7250 rpm. It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ferrari claims the 12Cilindri will sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 211 mph.
