Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin Valkyrie breaks down in Monaco
Aston Martin F1 driver Fernando Alonso recently took delivery of his Valkyrie hypercar. It was handed over to the 2-time Formula 1 World Champion in Monaco. However, reports suggest that his first day of ownership didn’t go well.
A video featuring Alonso’s Aston Martin Valkyrie being loaded onto a flatbed has been doing the rounds of social media. Some are claiming that the hypercar broke down just 1 hour after delivery.
In the video, you can see Aston Martin’s technicians working on the car, probably trying to understand the issue. There’s also a tow truck on standby. Eventually, the car is trucked away.
There’s no denying the fact that the Aston Martin Valkyrie is a masterpiece of engineering. However, it’s quite fragile. It requires a service every 3,100 miles, while the transmission has to be rebuilt every 31,000 miles. That being said, it’s unclear what the issue was with Alonso’s Valkyrie.
