Fast 9 Filming Completes its Action-Packed First Week
The ninth instalment in the Fast and Furious main saga is being filmed in England as we speak. Vin Diesel has been posting regular updates on Instagram as Fast 9 completes its first week of shooting.
Hobbs and Shaw will debut in theaters around the globe in a few weeks from now. But Vin Diesel is in no mood to stop himself from stealing a bit of thunder from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham ahead of the spin-off’s release. The actor has been regularly posting videos and updates on Instagram straight from the shooting location of Fast 9.
It’s been a week now since cameras started rolling, cars started drifting and things started exploding on the sets of the ninth movie in the juggernaut Fast and Furious series of blockbusters. Diesel’s Instagram has given us an idea on the sights and sounds to expect from what is hailed as the penultimate movie in the series.
Apparently, baby Brian is a little kid now, Letty played by Michelle Rodriguez has lost her long locks, Jordan Brewster is back in the game and we are wondering how the writers will explain Brian O’Conner’s absence. We are also looking forward to seeing how John Cena will be a part of the story. Will he be a good guy or a baddie? And will he be returning for the final chapter?
The latest video uploaded by Diesel has got Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris standing against a backdrop featuring a Dodge Charger Widebody and the wreck of a passenger aircraft. Both actors are geared up for war, complete with guns and bulletproof vests. Justin Lin must be setting up a major set piece here and all will be revealed when Fast 9 hits theaters on May 22, 2022.
