Exclusive: More Details on Aston Martin’s Ultimate Valkyrie
A couple of months back, we had published an exclusive report about the “Ultimate Valkyrie”. Well, we now have more information about the special variant of the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
Sources tell us that the “Ultimate Valkyrie” will be sold in the United States under the “Show or Display” rule of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). Therefore, it will be street legal (read clarification below).
“A vehicle eligible for Show or Display may receive NHTSA approval to be driven on the highway. The odometer must not register more than 2,500 miles in a 12-month period. NHTSA approval of limited on-road use is to allow the vehicle to be driven to and from nearby displays of similar automobiles.” – NHTSA
While we don’t know how it will look like, it is expected to be a little closer to the first sketches of the Valkyrie than its current evolution. Basically, it is likely to be the most extreme interpretation of the Valkyrie – something that Adrian Newey had originally envisioned.
The car has been offered to only those who have already purchased the Valkyrie AMR Pro and all have been spoken for. We are told that the asking price of this special variant is around £3.5 million before tax.
