Exclusive! Lotus Type 132 SUV is internally called ‘Lambda’

The Lotus Type 132 was teased late last year. As you might be aware, it’s an all-electric crossover, and as per the latest rumours, the SUV is internally called the ‘Lotus Lambda’.

The Type 132 aka Lambda, is expected to be based on the brand’s ‘Evolution’ modular EV platform. In the teaser video released by the company, we saw some interesting aero elements, including active shutters in the grille and an active rear wing. We’ve been told that the car will come with a “crazy aero package”.

While details of the powertrain are still under wraps, rumours suggest that it might pack around 800 hp. We’ve also heard that the SUV will be capable of sprinting from 0-62 mph in under 3 seconds!

The chassis guys at Lotus are known for producing some of the finest handling machines on the planet. It will be interesting to see how they tame a powerful and bulky electric SUV.

Lotus Type 132 ‘Lambda’ official reveal:

According to sources, some prospective customers have already seen the new SUV. Having said that, we won’t have to wait much longer, as it is likely to be revealed to the public in March 2022.
