Exclusive! Lexus LFR could get two variants and a €200,000 price tag
The upcoming Lexus LFR is being touted as the spiritual successor to the legendary Lexus LFA. It’s Japan’s answer to the Mercedes-AMG GT and the Aston Martin Vantage. Until now, all we’ve seen are some spy images showing a front-engined coupe. Now, some new details have surfaced online.
Sources tell us that the Lexus LFR could be offered in two variants. These have been described as “hardcore” and “docile”. The former is expected to be a more track-focused version, while the latter is the more pliant of the two.
Powering the LFR will be a brand-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a hybrid system. The internal combustion engine is said to produce around 720 hp, while the hybrid will provide another 180 hp.
We’ve been told that the Lexus LFR is expected to go into production in Q3/Q4 of 2025. Production won’t be limited to a specific number. Instead, Toyota is likely to restrict the annual production of the car.
The LFR could make its public debut this summer. Prices are expected to start at €200,000 before options.
